Aims of the Master Program

The Level II Master’s Program in Contemporary Music Performance has the fundamental goal of ensuring the acquisition of the technical and theoretical skills necessary to approach the contemporary music repertoire in a specialized manner, and thus to train musicians who are experts in the interpretation of today’s music, capable of meeting professional demands.

The Master provides a course of study of high-level specialization oriented specifically in the field of contemporary music performance. The aim of the course is to train professionals who have acquired the full range of knowledge and skills that characterize the cultural and professional profile of a performer fully aware of the performance practice and contemporary repertoire of the instrument.

 

Target Audience

The Master’s Program is aimed to anyone who, possessing a traditional Level II instrumental qualification, intend to acquire the tools for the correct reading of contemporary musical language. 

 

Entry Qualification

To be eligible for the Master’s Program, applicants must hold an Academic Diploma of Level II, a Degree, or an equivalent foreign qualification in the specific instrument, as recognized by current legislation.

In particular:

  • Diploma from the previous regulations
  • Experimental/regular Academic Diploma of Level II
  • Other Academic Diplomas of Level II

 

Submission of Applications

The deadline for applications to the 2025/2026 Level II Master’s Program in ‘Contemporary Music Performance’ is September 30, 2025. The application fee is €50.00 (fifty/00) to be paid via PagoPA.

 

Enrollment Fee

The enrollment fee for the Level II Master’s Program “Contemporary Music Performance” for the academic year 2025/2026 for students admitted after the selections is set at €2,500.00 (two thousand five hundred/00) to be paid via PagoPA by October 31, 2025, in a single payment.

 

Final Qualification

Regular participation in the Master’s Program, passing the in-progress assessments and the final exam, results in the awarding of the Academic Diploma of Level II Master in Contemporary Music Performance, issued by the “P.G. da Palestrina” State Conservatory of Music in Cagliari, for 360 hours with the allocation of 60 CFA, applicable in accordance with current legal provisions.
